Is everything actually shot on film?
Yes. Every frame in the archive was originated on film and scanned from the original negative or transparency. We do not accept digital files with film simulation applied. Metadata records the original capture format on every frame.
How are scans calibrated?
Standard scan resolution is 4000 DPI for 35mm and proportional for larger formats. We use Imacon and drum scans for archival work; flatbed scans for everyday workflow frames. Scan method is recorded in metadata.
Do you take photographer submissions?
Yes — we run a quarterly intake. Submitting photographers send a portfolio of fifty frames; if accepted, we onboard with a paid trial collection. Above-industry royalty rates from day one.
